Upton Middle School Visual Arts

The award winning Visual Arts program at Upton middle school is designed to foster and enhance your students creative and artistic skills. Besides creating artwork, we will reinforce your child’s ability to look at and understand the many functions of the visual arts. Our curriculum is constantly evolving so that we may provide new and innovating assignments that captivate your child’s interest.

In the 2017/18 school year, the Upton students won 22 regional Scholastic Arts awards.

The breakdown of these awards are 7 gold keys, 5 silver keys, and 10 honorable mentions. The 7 Gold keys were sent for national judging.  At our annual local community show, one of our students won 1st place in the 3D category. Words cannot describe how incredibly proud we are of our art students!

5 Upton Art students were recognized for their amazing artwork at the community art show at the Boix Factory. This show is an oppurtunity to see where our program stacks up in the county. We are especially proud of these students because they were awarded 5 of the 7 possible awards!

This year our students also took part in the anual BAC Art show. Upton students were awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place at that juried show.
