Biography

Welcome and thank you for visiting my page. I was born in St. Joseph, MI and raised in Berrien Springs, MI. I graduated from Andrews University in 1995 with a bachelors degree in elementary education. I also completed a masters degree at MSU and completed a special education learning disability endorsement from Walden University.

I am blessed to have wonderful and special individuals in my life: Brian, Nate, Joshua, Brendan, Seth and Caleb.  Yes, I am completely outnumbered as a female. J  I have moved all around Michigan but came back to where I grew up since I have quite a bit of extended family in this area.  I enjoy traveling, relaxing at the beach, hanging out with family and friends, reading, and enjoy teaching various levels. These are just a few of my favorite activities.

My desire is that each of my students realize they are special individuals.  I want them to know and understand that we all learn differently and to accept themselves as unique individuals. My hope is to create a learning environment where all students feel accepted and cared for irregardless of their background and unique differences.  It is a pleasure to be able to teach such amazing students. I am here to help each student.  Therefore, do not ever hesitate to reach out and contact me.

Summer Food Service Program

Welcome to the Michigan Department of Education’s Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) site locator. The SFSP was created to ensure that children in lower-income areas could continue to receive nutritious meals during long school vacations, when they do not have access to the National School Lunch or School Breakfast Programs. Use the SFSP site locator to find a SFSP site near you
