Welcome to my webpage! I graduated from Kalamazoo College with a bachelor of arts in mathematics with minors in German, computer science and education.
My first teaching assignment was at Bloomington High School South in Bloomington, Indiana. I taught mathematics, German and computer science. I also coordinated the school's student assistance program which identified and aided students needing extra assistance with life issues.
Upon moving to Saint Joseph, I taught mathematics and computer science at Lakeshore High School. After a child-rearing sabbatical, I returned to teaching in 2005 and provided instruction to students at Upton Middle School. In 2007, I began teaching geometry and algebra at the high school.
I am a life-long learner. I frequently attend workshops and courses to collaborate with my peers and stay current with the most effective teaching strategies. I have taken graduate courses in Kentucky, Indiana and Michigan and completed my masters degree in mathematics education through Walden University in the summer of 2008.
